l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Tribute to a Mom 1918 - 2012

I have not been on here for a while as some of you know. On March 18th I lost my mother at the age of 93. She was my best friend, mentor and the reason I am what I am. I grew up with wildlife surrounding me. It was just a part of my every day life as a child. The best thing you can do for your children. I have done the same with mine. My mother was in a nursing home for the last few years with her cat Toffee. Her face glowed when I took my new photos in for her to see. In fact it became so popular that I ended up going in and doing slideshows for the residents once a month. They loved it. It just brought their lives back to the day, good old memories. Making them smile made me smile even more. Life is good!!! My work became even more special. Some of these shots are of her younger years in England where she was born. She had a wonderful life. She is greatly missed.
