l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Snow covered leaves

It wasn't long ago that these leaves were lush and green. They flowed on the trees in the warm summer's breeze. And now they lye. All glistening in white, brown and crisp. Covered in winter's snow.

All on a Days Walk

A friend of ours Dog,Toby out and about, enjoying a winter's day. Ice covered rocks in the lake ,a chickadee with a peanut and my son Jeff.

Mother Nature's,A Winter Wonderland Dec. 28th,2010

What a beautiful morning here on the point. We were blessed with sunshine and a wonderful array of icy wonder's. My son Jeff & I saw an adult bald eagle fly over the woods,50 or so common mergansers and a few common goldeneye's out on the lake. But the ice that covered everything along the lake front was just amazingly beautiful. The following are some of the shots I took this morning off of Big Bay Point. A place I have spent many an hour photographing for the last 20 years.

Icy wonders

First there was 1 lonely patch of ice drifting out on the lake. We had 3 eagles out there yesterday eating a large fish off of an ice flow. Ice forms on the shore lines was a pretty sight.

Icy waters

The shoreline of Lake Simcoe is coated with icy wonders. The trees practically are attached to the water. It is so beautiful.

Mother Nature's Beauty

The lake had 50 plus common mergansers today and mostly females. A few common goldeneyes out further. Of coarse they all took to flight when we arrived. The ice formations on the trees were absolutely amazing.
