l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Joining hands for a cause,June 26th,2010.

l received an e-mail a couple days ago that was from the Endangered Species Coalition. Asking people around the globe to go to a beach, river or stream anywhere for 15 min and join hands. l thought about it and decided, what the heck. We are but a small community here in Big Bay Point,Innisfil. l e-mailed a few people and got a response l wasn't expecting on such short notice. My son Jeff & l were totally okay with being on our own at the beach. But then at noon. Cars started pulling up. As you can see,we have a small but pretty little beach. Our town councilor showed up, and some of the members of the Innisfil District Association , both of whom support us in everything we do showed up and we ended up with 16 people standing joining hands on our little beach. Even the rain backed off for us. This is to do with the Gulf oil disaster. All we want them to know is that we don't want any more expanded oil drilling off shore. This could happen again. So much life is being lost and being affected. If l could l would be there helping with the innocent wildlife that is fighting to survive. Our birds will be making there trek south come fall. Some heading right into this oil stricken ocean. We to will be loosing precious life if it is not stopped.
Thank you everybody for supporting this cause and coming out on such short notice. !
