Cold day in Dec.

My son Jeff & I had to go out and did some back roads. It was windy cold and trying to snow. A large flock of sandhill cranes seen way over the fields in flight were making their way to shelter and food. And this smaller flock was wandering around this field chowing down. A family of ravens sat in a nearby tree. A beautiful immature red tail hawk patiently sat all fluffed up in a tree at the side of the road. He did not seem to mind our stopping and getting a few shots from our vehicle. We moved on as not to scare him away from his roost. It was a cold day for all.
