Recently I was part of the Christmas Bird Count in the Barrie area. It was a very cold dark dreary day here. And although we saw thousands of ducks the song birds were not in plenty by numbers or species. But we did see some great species. This adult bald eagle soared over quite a distance away but gave us a good show. And as you can see this is not a bird species. However he was very curious at our presence. A beautiful mink pooped up out of no where. He moved along the shore line and kept peeking up at us before he finally disappeared below the ice. What a cutie.
