l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Algonquin

Spur of the moment I decided to head to Algonquin with Fran. We got there at 1 and first thing we had a bull moose along the side of the road. We ended our evening around 9pm to have another bull moose standing in the middle of the road. WOW. Lucky I spotted him. We stopped and gave him lots of room and he trotted off into the woods safe and sound. Hense the last moose shot was taken out the car window of a moving moose into the woods at 9 pm. approx. Few that was close. We also had a wild turkey and a ruffed grouse meander across the road on our way out. In between,an amazing day of wildlife and scenery that was breathtaking. We had a sunny day,no bugs and temperature that was comfortable. Considering the day before we had snow sleet and heavy rains with winds that would blow you away at home. And was so cold I wanted to go south,WAY south. It was a complete turn around. Enjoy.

Bull moose as we entered the park.

Water fast running in this little stream off hwy 69. Beautiful.
Chippy heard us in the woods and came for a treat.
 Tiny red flower.
 Type of polypore (fungus)
Male common merganser shooting into the sun but worked out okay
  More fungus
 Black capped chickadee
 Common loon

Cow n calf having a very long and much needed drink of salty water. They get deprived of salt over the winter months. And come May you see them along the road sides getting the salt that was left behind from slippery winter roads

 Beautiful
Looks like a two headed moose.!!!

See ya. Calf ( all legs) follows Mom into the woods.
 Mother natures beauty

 Lichen n mosses

The world of miniatures close up.

lichen n moss, tiny red flowers in the moss.
 Ring neck ducks
 Busy beaver
Grea t blue heron standing on a bridge
 Re wing blackbird
Red fox. Have seen this little male fox for 2 years now. Saw him as a kit. He is a beuty. However has quite the limp which he had last year. He made it through the winter so he will be fine.

Mallard pair playing in a beaver dam in the flowing water.
The wild turkey I took out the window as she ran across the road and hoofed it into the woods. Have seen her once before earlier in the year.

And this would be the last picture of the day. A big bull moose that was standing in the middle of the road heading into the woods after we stopped to make sure he got there safely for all. What a day.

Your "2 headed moose" photo is being used by another site, claiming its an anomaly caused by Chernobyl: https://sciencesensei.com/the-chernobyl-accident-created-human-and-animal-anomales/6/
