l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Stormy windblown day Feb,12/11

The day at the farm was a stormy one en route. Almost turned back around. Visibility was almost nil. But we made a pact that we would go so far and turn around. And it got brighter and we left it behind. The stable had already gotten it and the sun came out but the wind blew strong. The horses were frisky and the manes were wildly blowing. Beautiful. These pictures were actually taken through the windshield on the way home. The snow had stopped but the winds were very strong. And the snow drifts are so high that they blew the snow across the roads leaving little visibilty at times. And other times it looked as if we were driving on the clouds. Nothing driving to the conditions couldn't handle. It was beautiful.
