This eagle was sitting at the side of the road and took off as I approached. I stopped a distance away from it. We got a magnificent look at the under-wing pattern as it flew. Was a first year bird. Absolutely amazing.

Fall birding,November.
This immature red tail hawk was hunting at the side of the road. My sister & I went out and did some back road birding. The hawks were incredible,rough legged and red tails everywhere. A nice dark phase rough legged in a field hunting. But the main attraction was a huge golden eagle.
