l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Raccoon Babies,Minesing,2008

This was the second family of 3 little ones we saw yesterday. One of the siblings decided it was time to go across to the safety of the pine trees while these 2 watched on. Well one anyways. Cute!!
The 3 of them checking us out.Or should l say 2,one was really trying to hide there by it's sibling.
Time to move on,this one little one was really hunkered into it's sibling. Like maybe they can't see me!!
Precious moments. The weather is so strange this year that these 3 and the other 3 elsewhere in our journeys today have come out of hibernation. This puts them at so much risk. Humans, eagles, great horned owls.  All of which minesing have along with those open fields that go on forever. Hopefully as today's temps dropped drastically ,they have all found a safe haven and gone back to sleep!!

I didn't think they even had babies this time of year? I feel the cold out there and would be quite happy in hibernation!
