l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

Fox Kits,Barrie Ontario,2008

Imagine seeing these little fox kits in the heart of a city. There were 7 of them, and thats were they were. A wooded area were people walked their dogs to the lake. A rich area full of songbirds, the odd hawk, white tail deer and this quiet little fox family. Mom had many dens for them. They were never far from safety. Jeff & l checked on them every week, watched them grow, play, catch grubs. Experience life. They knew we were there as you can see. But weren't concerned. l used my 500 mm lens and we kept still and quiet taking our shots. Then one day, they were no where to be found.  They were beautiful, playful little fox kits that alot of people watched grow and finally move on. We wish them well.
