l have been a part of a few successful wildlife rescues and educate people on wildlife and environmental issues. We have helped in issues to save wetlands, woodlands etc.to save the precious life within. It is well worth the effort. We can all learn to live and work together. Education is the key. In 2011 I won an education award from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for the work and photography I do. Habitat is fast disappearing and with it, many species are also declining in numbers. So many species can actually tell us the health of our environment and alert us to problems we need to know about. They all need to be protected.

New visitors

So who are you?? Says this red breasted nuthatch when the new arrivals showed up hungry at the feeders. Cardinals squeezed their way in and took no nonsence. Was quite cute watching all the antics. I had a handfull of evening grosbeaks 20 years ago. A couple years ago 1 which I was thrilled about. But on October 24th 20 evening grosbeaks show up and on the 25th another 10 making approx. 30 birds. Chattering everywhere in the trees. Coming to the feeders for a much needed meal. Today the 31st. I had them around again with only a handful at the feeders with the rest in the trees. I love these birds. They are so friendly and beautiful.
