When we arrived all you could see was the tips of the heads of the herons in the nest. As it warmed up they started coming to life.

Trying to balance in the high winds was difficult for this heron. As l was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible as not to disturb the great horned owl. l had a lot of brush around me. Making some of these shots rather difficult. But l didn't do to badly after all.
